Brutal Legend Looking Promising!

I've always been a pretty big fan of Tim Schafer; creator of such greats like Psychonaughts and Day of the Tentacle. His games are so visceral that it sometimes scares me. The humor is right up my alley, the graphics are visually pleasing but the one thing that sets Tim's projects apart from every other game happens to be the writing. Everything from the story telling method to the humor to the action is supplemented into the core mechanics of the game so well that it's as if Tim made the game specifically for you.

At first I was a little hesitant towards Brutal Legend. Jack Black is voicing the main protagonist, Ozzy Osbourne is Hell's Gate Keeper; it's these types of little nuances that "irked" me at first. However, after watching every "Brutal" demo and game-play footage unveiled at this years E3, I am now a firm believer that this game is going to be something special.

Instead of boring you with a story run down accompanied by a character exposition (blah blah) I'll just show you what I'm talking about. Here's an excellent clip showcasing just what Brutal Legend is all about. The second clip is an excellent hands on demo conducted by Gamespot.
