Tatsunkok vs Capcom Guide Updated

Capcom recently updated their extremely extensive game guide for TvC and I must say it one of the most in depth dissections of a game I have ever seen. If your looking to upgrade your skills at this excellent game then you need to go here: Tatsunoko vs Capcom: UA

Another good site to check for all things TvC: iPlayWinner

I picked the game up this past Friday and have been easing myself into it gradually. Capcom's versus series is known for their frantic style of gameplay that might drive someone with a low threshold for ultra-violet colors into an epileptic seizure. So far I have been extremely happy with this game. Here's my weekly outline of pin-points:

PROS:
  • Gorgeous Game for the Wii
  • Fighting system stays true to the series deep roots
  • Easy to pick up and play yet challenging to "master"
  • Easy combo system to learn
  • Button layout (i.e. system) is solid
  • Flash background combo's make up for bland level designs
  • Sound/SFX/Voice acting is excellent
  • Roster is diverse and to keeps you coming back to master someone new
  • In training mode moves are displayed onscreen for you - no menu hopping
  • Extra Credit: I pulled off a 100+ hit-combo in the first hour of having the game
CONS:
  • Some balance issues with characters
  • Some minor lag issues have been reported (I haven't had any)
  • Not a lot of modes to choose from
  • Easy for noobies to spam attack - I have no "real" qualms with this actually
Here's a solid video showcasing the fighit mechanics of the game. Notice the speed and pacing of the moves. Fast, frantic and even a little hectic to be honest. Don't let the pacing of the game freighting you off; its very easy to pick up and in no time you'll be pulling off 50+ hit combos and overheads!
