Extravaganza is a pretty big word to use when describing what essentially is a regular SSFIV post...it's just on a Thursday rather than the usual Monday/Tuesday rundowns. Today is a little different though in respect to actually doing a Street Fighter IV post - not Super Street Fighter IV. Why the change up you ask? Well, because there's a lot going on in regards to World Tournaments happening right now and how they have a direct correlation with EVO2010 (Evolution 2010). For those interested in following the tourney scene read on! For those who aren't...uh, [insert profanity here] and have a great day.So there's a couple things that have gone down since Monday of this week. We got perhaps the worlds best SFIV player (Daigo) talking some "Polite Smack" to all EVO2010 players, we got the World Game Cup [Fighting Game Series] happening as we speak and we also have perhaps the best Guile Combo and Strat-Video ever made hit the interwebs. For a Thursday, shit just got serious.
First up lets go over the World Cup Tourney happening right now in Cannes, France. The tournament doesn't conclude until March 7th and multiple high profile Street
Fighter IV players (Daigo, Fuudo, Desora and Eita) are competing for the covenanted 1st place spot. However, beyond the singles tourney this professionally structured competition also has some very interesting "mini-matches."- Street Fighter 4 2v2 Team Tournament
- "Masters Series" tournament - winner will be sent to EVO2K10

In other Street Fighter news, the one and only Daigo (aka "The Beast") has posted this little video as a "hype tool" for EVO2010. Mind you, Daigo usually doesnt...well, talk at all. So, as I watched it for the second time a few moments ago I couldn't help but come to the premonition/question of: is Daigo talking spit or is this simply a "hey guys here's some tips for ya...yay!" kind of video. Hmmm.
Last but not certainly least we are going to showcase one of SF's oldest (but most popular) characters: Guile. Having just recently shown up on Capcom's official site i feel the need to show some much deserved love to the series American Hero. I also found some insane combo vids (by Gutter Trash over at iPlayWinner (one of the best all things Street Fighter websites out there...if not thee best. Enjoy!
